A Love at First Sight ~Birth~ Story.

It was 2 am when I got the call. “She’s being admitted, and she seems to be processing pretty quickly”. Time for the birth of Paxton.

After 8 hours at the hospital, it was time. There was a calm chaos in the room as doctors and nurses began to scurry around the bed. Tools were clanging, lights turning on, but everyone calm and smiling. Her husband standing at her side, softly stroking her hair, reassuring her that she is amazing and he loves her. She was so brave as she pushed to meet her baby boy. Under 5 mins later, there he was. She sobbed quietly as they placed him on her chest. “I love you so much” was all she could utter. Both parents were beaming with love and pride as they looked at their newest family member. Both grandmas present at her side began to join in the tears.

Little Paxton arrived a hungry little boy and began to cling to momma almost immediately. Mom and Paxton were able to connect right away, and the nurses were so amazing. No one rushed them and asked to take him for his check up. They were able to cuddle for almost 2 hours after his birth. It was a perfect way to start life.

You could literally feel the love in the room. An unconditional love that was an honor to witness.

Such a wonderful birthday filled with laughter, tears, excitement and joy. And true to form, I balled. Do you know how difficult it is to photograph when you are crying!

Paxton was born a healthy boy, weighing in at 6 lbs 1 oz. and 19 inches long. 10 fingers, 10 toes and his dad’s nose. Stay tuned for his studio newborn portraits. Ready to book your session?
