Welcome to my new and improved website! After months of going back and forth, I finally decided to make the switch to word press from HTML.
Now let me tell you, this was no easy task. This took a total of 22 hours. Between having to educate my self via you-tube and Facebook forums, it was a major undertaking.
I want to give a special thanks to Taylorrowe.com for taking the time to teach me one on one. Without her I never would have finished this site. Well maybe I would have, but certainly not in a week. She took me from start to finished but allowed me to do it so I could learn. Amazing.
Here are some tips I picked up along the way…
- Outline on paper the way you want your site to look like first. Makes it more organized when building the pages online.
- To make your website run faster and load pics quickly, your photos should be re-sized no larger and 900×600 and no smaller than 700×400 for quality. No kidding, I had to learn that. My old site re-sized it for me.
- Keep your old site running while you are building your new one. It would have taken A LOT of pressure off if I knew clients could still find me. Opps, live and learn.
I am so excited to start blogging, sharing beautiful portraits of my awesome clients and kicking my business up to high gear.
This is one of the videos I found helpful on You-tube just in case anyone else is having a hard time.
Thanks for reading, until next time….
